Narberth, PA and FLO join forces for first EV charging project in borough’s transition to clean mobility

Narberth, PA, September 13, 2021 – In collaboration with FLO, the Borough of Narberth, Pennsylvania inaugurated two dual Level 2 EV (electric vehicle) charging stations, as part of an ambitious set of actions the Borough is taking to tackle climate change, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.

“We are pleased to have been chosen by Narberth as the EV charging network for the borough’s first public curbside chargers and to have the opportunity to be part of this important journey towards reduced greenhouse gas emissions and better local air quality in the region,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO President and CEO. “All sizes of municipalities have a role in supporting the transition to clean transportation, and we love supporting them all, from our stations in NYC and LA, to these new stations in Narberth. Our chargers will bring a dependable source of power to current and future EV drivers and lay the foundation for the emerging charging infrastructure in the region.”

Collaborations with local governments like Narberth are vital to put in place the kind of conditions and infrastructure that will motivate individuals, businesses, and public entities to make the transition to electric mobility.

“At Narberth, we are committed to switching to clean energy in our borough. We realize that we are in a race against time when it comes to climate change and better local air quality. We have adopted a concrete action plan, which includes as a key initiative the installation of FLO EV chargers,” said Samantha Bryant, Narberth Borough Manager. “By ensuring the right infrastructure is in place, we are helping mobilizing Narberth residents to take part in this vital shift.”

FLO, one of the leading EV charging networks in North America, has developed and deployed over 45,000 chargers for public, commercial, and residential use. Leveraging its expertise in curbside charging stations, FLO expects this new collaboration with Narberth to facilitate EV adoption in the community, as the presence of public chargers will help convince more residents that EV driving can be both clean and convenient.
